Overnight Cruise to Oslo
Day 8, August 25
A beautiful morning ferry ride took us to the mainland where we loaded onto the bus and traveled back to Copenhagen. We had some free time and lunch before catching the overnight ship to Oslo. After getting settled in our cabins, tour members met on deck for happy hour, enjoying the sun, the sea and each other, followed by dinner.

Day 9, August 26
We greeted the sunrise on deck and then, to beat the crowds, made our way for the first seating for breakfast as our dinner waitress had advised. Apparently everyone else had been given the same advise. The hoards of tourists attacked the many smörgåsbord stations, abandoning the Scandinavian philosophy of just enough - taking just enough for yourself, making sure to leave enough for others! It was all this former principal could do to resist imposing some routines and procedures to tame the chaos! After the first seating, the smörgåsbord was decimated! It was delicious, though, and a fun prelude to the amazing views as we entered the Oslo Harbor!
